Hurricane Florence made landfall at approximately 7:00 AM Friday morning in Wrightsville, NC, 100 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach. The storm is a Category 1 hurricane, with 90 MPH sustained winds and has already delivered heavy amounts of rain on the beaches of North Carolina.  The storm is currently moving southwest at 6 MPH and is anticipated to continue this track, making a slight northern turn sometime tomorrow afternoon.

The Midlands can expect tropical storm winds, gusting approximately 30 MPH, and nearly 6 inches of rain.  We remain optimistic that this storm will not cause disruption to our normal operations, yet we will continue to monitor this storm every hour and report any relevant updates.
