The “Disaster Declaration” policy may be viewed by computers on the LMC network at (LINK)
Authority to Activate:
- Chief Executive Officer or Administrator On Call
- Nursing Clinical Supervisor (assumes role of Incident Commander outside normal operating hours)
- Facilities Director (Internal incidents only)
- Public Safety Director
- Emergency Department Medical Director (or designee) or Emergency Department Nursing Director (or designee), in consultation with the Administrator on call or another administrator and Nursing Clinical Supervisor
Declarations:
- Disaster Watch
- Disaster Advisory Group may be contacted to meet
- Specific resources will be activated that limit the impact of the disaster
- Acting Incident Commander may upgrade to “Disaster Alert” anytime, following consultation with the Administrator on call or, if activated, the Disaster Advisory Group
- Disaster Alert
- Disaster Advisory must be contacted to meet
- The Hospital Command Center (HCC), located in ACR-A, will be activated
- All facility operations will be coordinated through the HCC
Public Safety, pursuant to the policy, will send out notifications utilizing various communication methods.
